The International Pole & Line Foundation (IPNLF) has strengthened its Indonesian team with the appointment of a new Indonesia Program Lead.
Jamie Briscoe takes over from Shannon Hardisty who moves to become IPNLF’s social responsibility director. In her new role Briscoe will promote one-by-one tuna fisheries in the region through bolstering accurate reporting and working with other stakeholders.

“Jamie will play a significant role in supporting IPNLF’s continuous initiatives in addressing climate change, reducing carbon emissions, and integrating new technologies and innovation into small-scale fisheries in Indonesia,” said Martin Purves, managing director of IPNLF.
Indonesia is the largest tuna producer in the world, with an annual export volume of approximately one million tonnes, and a significant voice in advocating sustainable fishing practices such as one-by-one fishing.
Jamie Briscoe brings more than five years of experience from engagements across non-governmental organisations and philanthropic institutions dedicated to conservation and stewardship. She contributed to the Indonesia Ocean Initiative, helping implement successful community-led ocean governance projects.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs from the University of Colorado Boulder, US and has also conducted research in Ecuador, exploring ways to balance preserving biodiversity with livelihoods.
