Vestmannaeyjar has been catching, processing and delivering Icelandic fish since 1946

Confirming the move in a press release, VSV stated, “The board of Vinnslustaðirinn hf and the shareholders in Ós ehf and Leo Seafood ehf have signed a letter of intent regarding the purchase of the processing centre’s entire share capital in the two companies.”

According to the press release, the letter of intent “contains reservations about certain issues”, but if the purchase goes ahead, it is expected that the relevant contracts will be signed in 2023.

Ós owns and operates fishing vessel Þórunna Sveinsdóttir VE-401, while Leo Seafood operates a fish processing plant that mainly exports seafood products to European and North American markets.
