Nominations are now open for the prestigious Icelandic Fisheries & Aquaculture Awards.

The well-established awards, held on the first evening of IceFish, have long celebrated innovation, sustainability, and excellence across the fishing, aquaculture and seafood sectors.

Nominations for the IceFish Awards are now open

The 2026 awards will recognise both Icelandic and international companies and individuals.

They will be presented at the popular Awards Evening on Tuesday 22 September at the atmospheric Salurinn Concert Hall. Following the presentations attendees can enjoy relaxed networking with fellow exhibitors and VIP guests.

Nominations for companies and organisations are welcomed in the following categories:

  • Innovation in Fishing
  • Innovation in Processing
  • Innovation in Aquaculture, sponsored by Arion Bank
  • Innovation in Whole Fish Utilisation
  • Best New Product Launched at IceFish
  • Best Start-up Icelandic and International

Individuals can be nominated for the Outstanding Icelandic Skipper, sponsored by Vónin and Lifetime Achievement (Icelandic) awards, sponsored by Hampidjan.

To ensure your colleagues and companies receive the recognition they deserve nominate now on the IceFish website.

There are two simple rules to qualify an entry for the Innovation category:

  • The equipment, service, or vessel entry must have been released to market in the period since the last IceFish (20 September 2024). Project entries must have been launched within this time frame.
  • The entry must be innovative (not simply a product enhancement).

All IceFish exhibitors or their employees can enter or be nominated.
