As chief executive, Jollymore will focus on driving Innovasea’s mission to enable new solutions for regenerative aquaculture and wild fish research and management.

“His leadership has already helped lead Innovasea through an important chapter,” said Don Grant, managing partner of Cuna del Mar and chair of Innovasea’s board.

“Now we look forward to scaling impact and unlocking the next phase of growth.”

Jollymore joined Innovasea in 2017 as president following the company’s acquisition of Amirix Systems, where he previously served as president and chief executive. Under his leadership, Amirix’s Vemco brand became the global leader in acoustic fish tracking.

At Innovasea, he spearheaded development of the NexTrak telemetry solution and aquaMeasure environmental sensors, both cornerstones of the firm’s precision aquaculture platform.

“Innovasea is uniquely positioned to provide breakthrough capabilities that help ensure aquaculture can be a contributor to ocean health, biodiversity and food security globally,” said Jollymore.

“My focus will be to build on our world-class innovation capabilities and customer-first approach to support the critical advancements of our aquaculture and fish-research customers.”

Jollymore also chairs the board at COVE, a Canadian innovation centre advancing marine technology.
