Skretting has appointed a new managing director for its Nutreco Asia subsidiary and announced a new partnership with sustainable marine ingredients innovator, Zooca Calanus.
Noel Kim will take up his new role with effect from January 2024, becoming responsible for both the aquaculture business of Skretting and the animal nutrition business of Trouw Nutrition.
“I am thrilled to be joining Nutreco at a time when the animal nutrition and aquaculture industries are experiencing exciting transformations marked by fresh innovations and advancements,” said Kim.
“I am eagerly looking forward to exploring the business possibilities across Asia that will enable sustainable growth and allow Nutreco to achieve its purpose of Feeding the Future.”
New partnership will help promote sustainable practices
With ten years of collaboration already under their belts, Skretting and Zooca Calanus are now working together to develop nutritionally optimised feeds using whole fresh Calanus finmarchicus, a tiny marine copepod rich in essential nutrients.
“This partnership represents a significant step forward in our mission to provide innovative and sustainable solutions to the aquaculture industry,” said Hassan Skøien, shrimp innovation director at Skretting.
