Cflow has announced the establishment of a new local branch in Iceland, marking a significant step in the company’s international expansion strategy and reinforcing its presence in a fast-growing aquaculture market.
The move reflects the company’s assessment of Iceland as a strategically important location, driven by its advanced aquaculture sector and strong demand for high-quality technical solutions.

“Iceland is a market we strongly believe in,” said Stig Bjørkedal, chief executive of Cflow.
“The country has a progressive aquaculture industry, a high level of technological maturity, and strong players with high expectations for quality and execution. This aligns well with what Cflow stands for.”
Cflow’s entry into the Icelandic market builds on existing project experience, most notably its involvement in the Salmon Garden development for Samherji Fiskeldi. The project is widely regarded as one of the most ambitious land-based aquaculture initiatives in the country and has played a key role in establishing the company’s local credentials.
“Our collaboration with Samherji Fiskeldi and the delivery to Salmon Garden have been an important gateway into the Icelandic market. It confirms that our solutions meet the requirements of some of the most experienced and competent players in the industry,” said Thomas Håberg, sales manager at Cflow.
By setting up a permanent presence, the company aims to enhance collaboration with local stakeholders and improve responsiveness across all phases of project delivery. “We experience Icelandic industry players as highly competent and very accessible to work with. There is a short distance from decision to action, combined with clear expectations for quality at every stage,” added Håberg.
“Close collaboration and a strong understanding of customer needs are essential to succeed in complex projects, and this is where we see the greatest value in our investment in Iceland.”
Cflow will also participate as a conference partner at the Icelandic Aquaculture and Ocean Forum.
