GLOBALG.A.P. has appointed a new Integrity Surveillance Committee member, Miroslav Maziarka the Quality Manager of Tesco Polska/Poland.

TESCO Poland is committed to require GLOBALG.A.P. Certification from its produce supplier and source more than 95% of its produce from certified producers.
“Being a user of the GLOBALG.A.P. system I am delighted to be appointed for this role. This gives me insight and reassurance. I see how much effort is continuously invested into safeguard the GLOBALG.A.P. system integrity and guarantee the value of each GLOBALG.A.P. Certificate”, said Mr Maziarka.
The role of the independent Integrity Surveillance Committee is to evaluate the performance of the certification bodies and if necessary propose sanctions based on the result of the integrity assessments performed by GLOBALG.A.P . The present Integrity Surveillance Committee Members are:

- RETAIL representative: Aldin Hilbrands - Ahold (NL)
- RETAIL representative: Miroslav Maziarka – Tesco (Poland)
- PRODUCER representative: Nick Ball - Tanhort Small Grower
- Development Ltd (UK, Tanzania)
- PRODUCER representative: Bruno Magallo Huesa – Satfrutsol (SPAIN)
- PUBLIC SECTOR representative: CNCA , China (observer, non-voting)
Since 2009, the Surveillance Committee has evaluated 43 certification bodies and proposed 18 ‘First Warning’, 4 ‘Second Warning’, 10 ‘Yellow Card’, 1 ‘Red Card’, and one Cancellation.
