Tersan Shipyard has signed the contract for its 99th new vessel to be built for Rimfrost in cooperation with Westcon Shipyard.
The Kongsberg designed 120m krill trawler will be built in Tersan to carry out krill fishing operations in the Antarctic.
With accommodation for 60 crew members, she will be a green vessel satisfying the standards of the IMO’s Polar Code, with low emissions and sustainable energy usage. The vessel, which will have an optimised diesel-electric propulsion system based on low-sulphur diesel with exhaust gas treatment, will ensure minimal emissions and optimum operation.

Tersan is planning to deliver the vessel by the first quarter of 2022.
