Built at Tersan to a Skipsteknisk ST-191L design, factory trawler Georgiy Meshcheryakov has been delivered to Russian Far East fishing company Okeanrybflot.

This is the first of a pair of 108 metre LOA by 20 metre breadth pelagic/semi-pelagic fishing vessels, with sister ship Vladimir Biryukov scheduled to be completed next year.
Georgiy Meshcheryakov has substantial ice reinforcement and is designed for extended operation, to spend up to eleven months at sea between port calls.
Okeanrybflot’s new factory vessels will fish for Alaska pollock in the Sea of Okhotsk and for herring, mackerel and pollock in the Pacific.
Georgiy Meshcheryakov has twin 4060kW main engines and a pair of 1900kW auxiliaries, a deck laid out for working pelagic and semi-pelagic gear, and a factory deck with a 450 tonne/day throughput capacity. Fishroom capacity is a total of 4700 cubic metres.
Accommodation is for a crew of up to 150.
