Saudi Arabia’s National Aquaculture Group (NAQUA) has received official approval from the Ministry of Trade and Investment to register its new brand "Bahri" as an approved trademark.

NAQUA’s Bahri brand has been conceived to specialise in Saudi Arabian aquaculture products in response to customer demand. It apparently reflects the company’s concept of freshness, quality and experience to its customers at a reasonable price.
Previously, Ahmed R. Al-Ballaa, NAQUA’s managing director, said that NAQUA has the aim of “serving our customers with guaranteed quality seafood products that have become internationally recognised,” and this is another step forward in that process.
NAQUA owns farms strategically located next to the coast of the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia, 180 kilometres south of the historic port of Jeddah, near the town of Al Leith. It has an annual capacity of 100,000 tonnes that is exported all over the world.
The company recently rebranded its business to become NAQUA to reflect its transformation from a shrimp farming operation to a global supplier of a wide range of marine aquaculture products.
It was the first company in Saudi Arabia to achieve GLOBALG.A.P. Aquaculture (Shrimp & Fish) and Compound Feed Manufacturing Certification and the fifth company in the world to achieve GLOBALG.A.P. Certification for Barramundi Fish.
