New Zealand aquaculture ventures can secureNZD 410,000 (€233,193/$318,789) in government funding through the third round of a contestable fund.
Economic development minister Gerry Brownlee said the aquaculture market development contestable fund aimed to support a small number of quality projects with the ability to improve the profitability and competitiveness of New Zealand's aquaculture industry.
The fund is administered by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise on a dollar-for-dollar match basis.
Since its launch last year, more than NZD 1.1 million (€625,622/$855,331) in co-funding has been awarded.
"The additional funding will help New Zealand aquaculture companies grow and succeed in key international markets, which will in turn help the wider industry achieve its growth target of NZD 1 billion (€568.7 million/$777.6 million) in revenue by 2025," Brownlee said.
Applications for round three close on 18 February.
