Asia One Marine has introduced its Fishcable this year, which aims to reduce pollution caused by ropes greased with petrol based or synthetic chemical greases.

The company says that when large fishing boats use wire ropes on decks and in the sea, their catch may touch the wire ropes of the nets and seines.
Fishcable is entirely manufactured with non polluting grease, formulated in France. From string stretching to strand forming and wire rope braiding, a special food grade Fishcable grease is used at every step of the production, ensuring a good lubrication and an environmentally safe product.
This grease is food grade (H1) and its stains are easily removed, with substantial benefits for the environment. Spatters and grease drops are no longer risks for the fish and seamen using the Fishcable. The company claims that by using the Fishcable, the whole fishing process is 100% compatible with the HACCP approach (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) which is commonly used all along the food chain.
