Mustad Longline has released a new hauling solution - the SuperHauler H3200, which replaces the H3000.

The H3200 is a rigid, compact and silent high-pressure line hauler. Produced in high quality stainless steel, the sheaves are horizontally mounted for better visibility during hauling operation and to optimise the sheaves' grip on the line.
The diameter of the sheaves on the H3200 has been increased by 50% compared to the H3000. This ensures that the line will not slip on the sheaves during hauling, providing a safer work environment. The wear on the line and sheaves are significantly reduced, not only due to the lager sheaves, but also to the high quality ware resistant material. Weldox 700 is a high strength structural steel (700 MPa) with outstanding toughness for a multitude of load carrying structures and other applications.
The long-life hydraulic direct drive radial piston motor gives the H3200 silent and fluent hauling, providing a good and safe work environment. The motor has a high quality stainless steel shaft to remove any corrosion damage. The H3200 is also fitted with an automatic hydraulic oil aeration for safe and trouble free service and long life operation. Without need for a gear box, the number of moving parts is greatly reduced, making it easy to maintain and ensuring a low life time cost.
Pulling force of the H3200 is increased to 1.7 tons (3750lbs) from the sheaves and 3.2 tons (7000lbs) from the capstan. This is combined with a top speed of 150 meters per minute (500fpm).
With the RotoCleaner the maintenance cost of not only the H3200 but also the lines is greatly reduced. The RotoCleaner will remove fish, all remnants of fish and bait, via four specially designed rotating brushes. That in addition, with a high pressure flushing of the line and hooks, reduces wear on the line and the sheaves.
To ensure a safe and fluent operation a constant tension on the lines is secured by the FB320 LineRetriever. The FB32 is synchronised with the line hauler and keeps constant tension on the gear to prevent slack and passes it through guide tubes to the hook separator. This will significantly reduce the risk of line slippage on the sheaves.
The H3200 is connected to the Mustad Longline LineController™ to provide remote operation and surveillance for the H3200. The LineController™ provides the possibility to adjust the pulling force on the line and also adjust the hauling speed from the wheelhouse by an intuitive touch screen with an animated graphic interface.
SelectFish™
Also new from Mustad is the compact SelectFish™ system - a state of the art AutoLine™ system for smaller fishing vessels. The SelectFish™ system automatically operates with 3mm monofilament lines or normal ø5.5mm polyester rope.
The easy selection and gear changing makes the SelectFish™ system highly flexible and it can easily be applied according to seasona conditions targeting a wide range of species.
The snooded hooks are automatically attached to and detached from the mainline by a high quality and ware resistant plastic ball and clip system. The snooded hooks with the connector clip are stored on small easy handling magazines for easy storage while the mainline is spooled onto space saving drums.
The Selectfish™ system is easy to operate can be operated by as little as three crewmen.
The main line is stored directly on drums, which is a space efficient way to store the main line and eliminates the problem of tangled lines and snoods. The vessel can carry several drums depending on seasonal conditions and the target species. The drums can easily be loaded and unloaded by a single crewman.
Each drum carries approximately 10,000m of monofilament or 4,500m of the heaver polyester line. The drum unit can be loaded and unloaded from both sides, which eases the process of changing drums even in high seas.
The magazines are produced in extruded aluminum which minimises the weight and makes it easy to handle onboard. The magazines use a system of integrated magnets to lock the snoods, clips and hooks in order to avoid tangling. After the mainline and snoods have been separated by the disconnector when hauling, new hooks can be slid into the magazines when needed. The system is then ready to set again.
SelectFish™ is designed to be space efficient, strong and light weight. The installation is very flexible and requires very little space since the system is divided into six separate modules. This makes it easier to obtain good weight distribution across the deck. The total weight including magazines is around 1400kg, plus lines and hooks.
