Moroccan fishing company, Omnium Marocain de Pêche, has ordered 10 sets of VO08 trawl doors from Morgère.

This contract follows on from a previous order in January 2015, for doors used by Omnium’s demersal fishing fleet based in Tan Tan, south-west Morocco.

Morgère’s VO08 trawl doors feature a V-profile and offer excellent stability in challenging towing conditions. The doors are easy to shoot and are well adapted to cope with rough ground conditions with the position of the foils enabling more spread and less drag.

Morgère has been supplying Omnium with trawl doors since 2010 and the VO08 type has also proved popular with fishing skippers in a number of other countries around the world.

“We have a strong relationship with Omnium and this latest repeat order highlights the highly effective performance of this type of door, which is well adapted for use in a variety of demersal fisheries”, said Michel Dagorn of Morgère.
