Mr Charrayre joins Morgère from electric utility company EDF where he has worked as a research engineer for the last three years. In his new role with Morgère, he will be responsible for the development of new designs of trawl doors and associated fishing equipment.

Michel Dagorn, director of Morgère, said, “François brings to Morgère much experience in engineering design and will play a vital role as we continue our development programme for innovative new types of trawling systems.”

The company is looking to develop new designs, building on the success of the Exocet trawl door and the Cyclops pair trawl monitoring system.

“I’m delighted to be joining Morgère at this exciting time for the company and look forward to playing my part in ensuring that fishing skippers are equipped with the best possible trawl equipment”, said Mr Charrayre.
