Now a fish farming company only, Cermaq has announced that it is changing the name of all of its Mainstream local farming companies to Cermaq.

This follows the sale of the feed division EWOS in October and will be implemented in the near future.

“Cermaq is a well-established name, and a common name will strengthen our global operations,” says CEO Jon Hindar. “With this Cermaq will be a uniform company which can utilise the opportunities from being a dedicated farming company.”

Cermaq is the world’s third largest farmer of salmon and trout, with operations in Norway, Chile and Canada. The company will present its new strategy post EWOS at Cermaq’s Capital Markets Day in Chile in November.
