Spanish company Ibercisa has secured contracts for the supply of fishing machinery to three Norwegian trawlers.

The company says that with these contracts it has broken into the competitive Norwegian market that normally relies on home technology.
The first trawler is being built at Turkish shipyard Tersan for Volstad, and is due to be delivered in April this year. The second is another trawler being built at Tersan for Andenesfiske. This is due to be delivered in August this year. The final trawler is for REM and is being built at Norwegian shipyard STX-OSV
Ibercisa says that this breakthrough into the Norwegian market the company will gain access to the most technologically demanding market in the fishing world.
Ibercisa supplies deck machinery including electrical split trawl winches, electrical gilson winches, electric sweepline winches, electric net sounder winches, electric auxiliary winches and electric net drums.
