Gondan will build a 77m freezing stern trawler for Norwegian fishery and fish farm owner Prestfjord AS to operate in Arctic areas handling and processing cod and prawns.

Featuring automated fish processing equipment, including a meal plant, the steel trawler with an aluminium superstructure will be designed by Rolls Royce Marine, which will also supply the vessel’s main equipment.
The vessel will have a total hold capacity of 2250 m3 and operate in the Barents Sea and Svalbard waters.
It will be classified by the DNV and Ice class certified.
Spain-based Gondan has previously supplied freezing stern trawler Sunderøy to Prestfjord.
