The fourth Icelandic fishing awards ceremony was held last night in The Tower, Smáralind.

A total of 13 awards were presented to companies and individuals. The purpose of these awards is to recognise the people and companies, both in Iceland and from overseas, who have made outstanding contributions to the commercial fishing industry. The winners will be able to display the awards logo on their marketing materials.

The winners are:

Outstanding Icelandic Processor: Skinney-Þinganes

Outstanding Achievement: Kristján Ragnarsson, former chief executive of The Federation of Icelandic Fishing Vessel Owners

Outstanding Icelandic Supplier - Catching (Small Companies ): Naust Marine

Outstanding Icelandic supplier - Catching ( Large Companies): Hampidjan
