Bakkafrost has come to an agreement with Havila Shipping in Norway surrounding the purchase of the vessel Havila Princess.

The new ship will operate as a service vessel taking care of different assignments within sea farming.
At 73.5m long and 16.6m wide, the vessel has two propellers for propulsion and two bow and stern thrusters.
It is equipped with Dynamic Positioning and has a considerable work-deck, the vessel will be equipped with a system for delousing of salmon using warm seawater.
With this investment, Bakkafrost’s capacity for delousing of salmon without the use of medical treatment will increase considerably.
It is expected to be ready for operation shortly after the beginning of next year, and is set to be named Martin.
