Ziegra is introducing new on-board StreamIce systems for the production, storage and pumping of ''liquid'' ice. The new gear, Ziegra says, when combined with correct handling techniques, beats the opposition with significant improvements in shelf life, quality and freshness.
StreamIce storage tanks are custom-designed for each boat. To save money, customers can build their own tank locally with free design help from Ziegra which will then supply pumping and agitator kits to suit.
As well as producing pumpable StreamIce, a '3-in-1' machine can also make solid chip ice from both fresh and seawater. Ziegra says this gives unparalleled versatility on-board, using a wide variety of brine strengths and ice densities. The ice machine can be quickly set up to make StreamIce at the correct ice density and temperature to suit a particular product or application.
The new machines follows a 20-year manufacturing development of well-proven and reliable technology. The water circuit is sealed in the StreamIce machine allowing secure ice production even in the roughest sea. Built in Germany with the highest quality tested parts, Ziegra says their machines are backed by dedicated teams of service engineers and agents.
