Tomorrow (9 October) in Birmingham more than 150 delegates are expected to attend a one-day consumer insight event, organised by Seafish.
The event is particularly relevant for members of the retail, processing, foodservice and educational catering sectors who want to increase their knowledge of current and future consumer trends.
Industry experts will present analysis of market data, consumer habits, sustainability and healthy eating, while delegates will have an opportunity to network with key members of the industry, and to hear updates on consumer projects run by Seafish.
Chaired by Seafish’s Malcolm Large, with guest speakers from Reynier Research, Neilsen Market Data and a leading chef, the day will cover:
- Current retail data and insights
- Trends in foodservice – NPD Crest data
- The consumer and their understanding of fisheries science
- Taste – The Seafood Lexicon
- Fish is the Dish consumer campaign
- A chef’s perspective on the evolving seafood market
Andy Gray from Seafish said: “The industry has an appetite for the latest consumer news, views and trends. Seafish has designed a one-day event which will provide the trade with an insight into current consumer behaviour, arming delegates with the most up-to-date information and analysis. We’re expecting more than 70 attendees on the day, and are confident that delegates will significantly increase their knowledge of the seafood consumer.”
Seafood and The Consumer event is taking place from 10:30am-3pm at Colmore Gate (DeVere Venues) in Birmingham on Tuesday 9 October.
