RNLI lifeboat crews from Eyemouth and Berwick-upon-Tweed assisted a stricken fishing vessel after receiving a call from Forth Coastguard.
Eyemouth RNLI all weather lifeboat Barclay Card Crusader was launched at 11.09pm on 14 February after a call was received by Forth Coastguard from an Eyemouth-based fishing boat that was experiencing engine problems one mile off Eyemouth harbour.
Due to bad weather conditions, the assistance of Berwick all weather lifeboat Joy and Charles Beeby was requested at 11.31pm to help tow the fishing vessel safely back to Eyemouth harbour.
Berwick Coxswain Robert Frost said: ‘This is what working as a team is all about. We are all RNLI lifeboat crew and no matter where, we will help one another in saving lives at sea, even if it means leaving loved ones on Valentine’s night.'
