127,000 tonnes of products were manufactured, a 4% increase on the same period last year. In particular, the company saw a 10% increase in the output of high-value products including pollock fillets.

“Despite the difficult economic situation in the world caused by the coronavirus epidemic, the Russian Fishery Company ensures harvesting, production and shipment of products,” commented RFC director general Viktor Litvinenko.

In the first half of the year, the RFC retained its traditional sales markets – in particular, Chinese and Korean markets, as well as the domestic market. In addition, the company expanded its sales geography by supplying pollock fillets to Singapore and H&G pollock to Poland.

The company’s fleet has taken around 70% of its pollock quotas, which are the company’s primary target species with a 2020 quotas totalling 282,400 tonnes – making RFC one of the world’s largest pollock producers.
