Spanish shipyard Astilleros Valiña has reported completion of work to enlarge and upgrade the Panamanian tuna vessel Contadora I. The expansion from 63.3 metres to 83.10m focused on the central part of the vessel.

This was combined with improving fish handling conditions and facilities as well as the freezing and storage side. The result is that storage and loading time has been reduced, so boosting catch quality levels. The crew, not just the fish, have benefited too with better working conditions.
