The Nor-Fishing Foundation is inviting applications for its 2015 Nor-Fishing Foundation Travel Award.

The Travel Award was established last year to increase the Foundation’s exposure in developing countries, primarily in Africa and Asia.
The Travel Award enables one person from the developing world to visit Aqua Nor or Nor-Fishing to experience modern aquaculture and fisheries technology, and to make contact with a wide network of experts.
The Travel Award covers the cost of air travel from the winner’s home to Trondheim, where she or he will spend a week as a guest of the Nor-Fishing Foundation, including hotel accommodation and some spending money. The winner will also be invited to the main events during the exhibition.
The winner is then expected to tell others in their home country about the experience, for example by writing articles about the exhibition and/or about Norwegian aquaculture and fisheries, and serve as the Foundation’s contact point for future reference.
The successful applicant should come from a developing country, be involved in aquaculture in some way (as a student, farmer, administrator or educator), and should give a short review of why she/he would like to visit this year's Aqua Nor.
Applications should be sent to the Nor-Fishing Foundation no later than 1 June 2015, and the winner will be announced by the end of June 2015.
