Carsoe to equip state-of-the-art shrimp trawler

Carsoe will equip M.V. Osprey Ltd’s new shrimp trawler, ‘Northern Osprey III’, with the most modern state-of-the-art equipment.

The Northern Osprey III is a new generation of shrimp trawlers and will be delivered during the third quarter of 2017.

Carsoe says that this order beats all records since the acquisition of Carnitech’s seafood activities, with the overall order amount exceeding DKK40m.

In cooperation with DSI and Holmek, Carsoe will supply all onboard production equipment including horizontal automatic freezers, warehouse facilities, palletizing equipment as well as elevators.

This is Carsoe’s second order within 12 months for equipping a newbuild trawler.

The Carsoe team has delivered production systems to M.V. Osprey Ltd. from Nova Scotia throughout the last 20 years. Northern Osprey III is the third arctic trawler purchased by M.V. Osprey Ltd. This new trawler is set to operate on the Canadian North Atlantic east shore primarily meant to fish cold-water shrimps. However, the concept of the design is to deliver a flexible solution making it possible to adjust the trawler to other fishery types.
