COSI was the first international acquisition made by Thai Union Group PCL (Thai Union) and the TUNA business has been a strong foundation and cornerstone of the Group since that acquisition, said Thai Union. It added that COSI and COSFF fit in with group business objectives and the appointment of Mr Rosenberg will allow for further synergies across TUNA to boost the potential of both businesses.

Thiraphong Chansiri, president & CEO of Thai Union, commented: “Our business in North America continues to provide the greatest portion of revenue for Thai Union, globally. This fact is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff across all our businesses.

"By appointing Bryan Rosenberg to the President and CEO of TUNA responsible for both COSI and COSFF businesses, we believe we can continue to drive revenues and innovation to firmly take us into the next decade of TUNA’s evolution. Bryan has a proven track record of accomplishments in building and leading COSFF. We believe he will bring those tremendous successes into his new expanded role."

The appointment follows the resignation of COSI president & CEO, Valentin Ramirez, effective 5 June.

Additional changes will be made to TUNA's senior management team to better facilitate the reporting and management structure. The changes will be effective from 5 June 2020. The organisation will maintain its primary headquarters in California.
