A series of 10 bite-sized programmes featuring chef Jamie Oliver is airing throughout January on UK TV and promotes farmed British trout amongst other species.

Titled Jamie’s Fish Supper, the series of four minute episodes are set to impact retailers by encouraging consumers around the UK to buy and cook with some of the less widely used, yet plentiful, species of fish and seafood such as trout, mackerel, coley and mussels. The episodes will also include new recipes from Oliver.
David Bassett, Chief Executive, British Trout Association commented: “It’s great to see such a high profile British chef championing trout in this way. We’re delighted that farmed British Trout has been included within this programme which will educate consumers further of the benefits of this versatile and delicious product, and encourage them to consider trying new types of fish. The endorsement of a high quality farmed product is very encouraging and shows the increasing trend in preference for farmed fish.”
