Marin Teknikk has achieved what it calls a break-through in the Russian market by securing design and engineering packages for four new long-line vessels.
The vessels will be built for three Russian Fishery companies which are are all major actors within the market located in the Murmansk and Arkhangelsk regions.

“From our point of view in Norway, we consolidate our strong competence within fishery and maritime industry, and contribute to create increase of value both in Norway and abroad.”
Modern equipment
Marin Teknikk's new Ice-Class vessels will be of the MT1112 XL design and 58.6m long with a beam of 13m.
They will each be equipped with a top modern auto line-hauling system through moon-pool, fish-factory for processing of fish and cannery and large freeze capacity.
Each of the vessel's hulls, when combined with diesel electric propulsion, will be optimised for low fuel consumption and low emissions.
When completed, the long-liners will be built for fishery of cod and haddock in the Barents Sea and the Norwegian Sea, with high focus on utilising the whole catch.
The vessels will be built at Severnaya Verf in St Petersburg during a three years’ period, under Russian Flag and Class.
