Macduff Shipyards has just completed is latest vessel, a steel fishfarm workboat for the Aquascot Group for its facility in Gigha.

The Emma is a versatile design by Macduff Ship Design with tank and deck stowage facilities and a bow ramp door.
Layout below the deck from forward is forepeak store, fish tank with fuel tanks and ballast tanks outboard, engineroom/steering compartment.
The vessel is powered by twin Mermaid Mistral diesels each rated 169HP at 2500RPM, driving through PRM 1000 D4 gearboxes with 4:1 reduction ratio.
Teignbridge Propellers has supplied the sterngear and the 900mm diameter handed propellers. Each engine drives a 55amp 24v alternator and a CA-50/5-A clutched Azcue bilge and general service pump.
Wheelhouse equipment is mainly Furuno and Icom equipment.
