Trond Williksen has extensive industry experience, having previously been chief executive at SalMar as well as positions at AKVA group and Aker. He replaces Espen Asheim who will stay on as a board member.

"Mørenot is an exciting company that's solidly positioned for further growth in key markets," said Mr Williksen. "I look forward to contributing to the company's future development."

Private equity investment firm, FSN Capital, acquired a majority stake in Mørenot in March 2018, focusing on growth, most recently through the acquisition of Bøteriet in Steigen, Norway.

"We are delighted to strengthen the team with Trond Williksen as chairman and an investor in Mørenot," said Ulrik Smith, board member of Mørenot and partner of FSN Capital. "He brings extensive industry experience, a global network and strong values that will benefit the company's further growth and development."
