“Fitting the surveillance vessels with ECDIS will help us monitor the Indonesian waters to a higher standard and support the prevention of unlawful fishing, which is a key issue for the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries,” said the president general of Marine Resources and Fisheries Surveillance, Mr Asep Burhanudin.

ECDIS is equipped with the main sensors such as; GPS, gyro, speed logs, wind sensors and an AIS transponder - which can be operated in silence mode.

PT MultiIntegra will join its long-term partner Transas in installing and supplying the device. ECDIS has already been supplied to numerous customers in Indonesia, including the Indonesian army and private shipping companies, such as Gemilang Bina Lintas Tirta (GBLT).

Aloys Sturarto, CEO of PT Multilntegra said: “We have been working together in the Indonesian market for many years and the new contract is a sign of our prolific cooperation in delivering high class solutions to the shipping industry.”
