Promens Aalesund has succeeded in supplying insulated tubs for the onboard handling of fresh fish and the tubs are today being used in all segments of the fishing industry, onshore and inshore, as well as on board.
Promens Aalesund says that the tubs are helping customer to increase onboard efficiency as well as during loading and unloading. Storing is done directly in large cargo units where ice is immediately added and loading and unloading is done rapidly by using cranes and fork lifts.
The tubs come in a wide range which means that they are applicable to all vessels - from one-man fishing boats to the largest trawlers. Promens Aalesund supplies tubs from 65l to the large 1,100l industrial tubs. More than 40 different types of tubs are available, of which many are inter-stackable, and customers can combine different tub sizes to utilise vessel storage capacity.
The company supplies both Nordic and Saeplast tubs. These tubs are well known for their excellent insulation properties, however, they also have several additional qualities. The tubs are designed to obtain a steady stacking position onboard even at rough sea. The design is also optimised to easily enable customers to fulfill the strict hygienic regulations within the fishing industry.
