New startup Mastur has launched in Iceland to deliver seafood processing services, spare parts and equipment development, targeting reliability and rapid support for fish processing operations.

Mastur was founded by Silfá Huld Bjarmadóttir and Elvar Stefánsson in collaboration with Micro. But it’s also backed by a team with extensive experience across sales, development and operations of technical solutions for fish processing

Established in partnership with Micro, the company will provide maintenance, spare parts supply and ongoing development of fish processing equipment, leveraging deep Icelandic local industry expertise.

Mastur was founded by Silfá Huld Bjarmadóttir and Elvar Stefánsson in collaboration with Micro. But it’s also backed by a team with extensive experience across sales, development and operations of technical solutions for fish processing.

Its offering spans service and maintenance of fish processing equipment, alongside the sale of spare parts and the continued advancement of processing solutions.

The company confirmed it has already commenced operations and completed delivery of its first customer orders, with further projects and deliveries scheduled in the coming months.

This early traction signals initial market demand within Iceland’s seafood processing sector.

Mastur is also focused on building a robust service network while strengthening relationships with customers and partners both domestically and internationally.

Company strategy is designed to support scalable growth and ensure responsive support for fish processing operations across multiple markets.

The board of directors comprises Magnús Rúnar Guðmundsson as chairman, alongside Silfá Huld Bjarmadóttir and Gunnar Óli Sölvason. Elvar Stefánsson serves as chief executive officer, leading the company’s commercial and operational development in seafood processing and fish processing equipment.
