Icelandic food processing company, Skaginn 3X, has made changes to its management team to focus on the company''s continued growth.

Baldvin Johnsen joins Skaginn 3X as chief financial officer, coming from Norway-based FrigoCare, a subsidiary of Icelandic shipping firm Samskip, where he was responsible for finance operations before becoming managing director.

Baldvin Johnsen has worked in the fisheries industry for the past 13 years. Prior to his roles at Frigocare he was treasury manager at Iceland-based Ísfélag Vestamannaeyja and was responsible for the financial and risk management of the company.

Other appointments include Alda Hlín Karlsdóttir who joined Skaginn 3X last year and will manage the sales and marketing team in close cooperation with Ingólfur Árnason, the managing director and founder of the company. She will also manage Skaginn 3X’s Reykjavík office.

Prior to joining Skaginn 3X, Alda Hlín Karlsdóttir worked as director of operations for Iceland-based seafood company, Icelandic Group. She has several years of experience in sales and operational affairs and has worked for municipalities and in finance.

Jón Birgir Gunnarsson, former head of sales and marketing for Skaginn 3X, has resigned and taken on a new role as chief executive of Icelandic window firm, Gluggasmiðjan.
