In order to strengthen its global presence Icebox Plastico has adopted this year the name of its parent company, Saeplast and becomes Saeplast Iberia, S.A.

Icebox Plastico SA was founded in December 2000 in a village outside Vigo (Spain), and has since built up a strong presence in Spain and Portugal for high quality, rotational-moulded, insulated containers for the food-processing industry.

In 2003 Icebox was acquired by the international group Saeplast. Following the acquisition Icebox Plastico took over all sales and marketing activities for the Saeplast group in the Spanish and Portuguese markets.

Founded in Iceland in 1984 as a producer of double-walled, insulated plastic tubs for use in the fishing industry, Saeplast has since risen to become one of the world's leading manufacturers of rotational-moulded insulated plastic containers, tubs, boxes, pallets and buggies for use in all sectors of the global food industry.

The company currently operates production and sales facilities in Canada, Iceland, India, the Netherlands, Norway and Spain, and these are backed up by regional sales offices in Hong Kong and Vietnam, and a global network of agents and distributors.
