A record number of delegates are expected to attend the Humber Seafood Summit 2012, taking place on 19 and 20 September at the Humber Seafood Institute.

The two day event, co-ordinated by Seafish and arranged by a partnership of organisations in the Humber Seafood Group, is expecting 25% more delegates than in 2011.

Attendees are being drawn by the high calibre speakers contributing to the Summit. With a theme focused on ‘The Big Issues’, this year’s programme has been designed to stimulate in-depth debate on key industry issues and encourage sharing of expert knowledge.

Dr Paul Williams, chief executive of Seafish said: “This year’s Humber Seafood Summit looks set to be the most successful since its launch three years ago. The support from industry is greater than ever, with a particular spike in interest from processors and importers. This event is a major networking opportunity for the Humber area and, unsurprisingly, no-one wants to miss out. Seafish has played an integral role in the delivery of this year’s Summit, and we’re confident that the event will showcase the issues at the forefront of the industry’s minds, with exceptional opportunities to contribute to the debate.”
