Brödrene Hukkelberg AS has announced its appointment as sole importer and distributor of Recaro Maritime marine seats in Scandinavia, Finland and Iceland.
Brödrene Hukkelberg is a family owned shipyard on the west coast of Norway which has been in the ship building and repair business since 1938. The Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue have, to date, received 11 boats from the company, the last of which was equipped with Recaro Maritime Northsea seats at their request.
The standard Northsea seat required modification to fit into a relatively small space and is mounted on a specially modified air compressor suspension unit. “During this development period, it became clear that both Recaro Maritime and ourselves are very much committed to quality and customer service,” explains Pete Roberts, design engineer at Brödrene Hukkelberg and now responsible for Recaro Maritime sales in Scandinavia. “We already have a dedicated Sales and Service department with good contacts throughout Scandinavia and we are extremely pleased to add Recaro Maritime seats to our ever growing portfolio of quality products.”
