Cabinplant will introduce its third generation of multihead weighers at Nor-Fishing 2002.
For more than 30 years, Cabinplant has been one of the world's leading suppliers of complete processing and packing lines for the food industry, and has put its extraordinary process knowhow to good use in designing its new weighers.
The principle of multihead weighing of course remains the same, but apart from that there are only few similarities between the second and third generation of Cabinplant multihead weighers. Using its experience within processing and packing lines for the food industry, Cabinplant has evaluated and upgraded all parts of the multihead weigher with the clear purpose of creating the most reliable and cost-effective multihead weigher on the market today.
Hygiene requirements become increasingly stricter, and this in turn means higher cleaning costs and lost production time. Cabinplant's new multihead weigher design is simpler and hygienically correct thus eliminating the risk of product deposits. Among the new features are fully enclosed chute modules incorporating opening/closing mechanism, pan suspension device and load cells.
In the future, Cabinplant's multihead weighers will be available with step-motor operated 'gates'. As opposed to the old pneumatic control system, step motors are capable of withstanding temperatures down to --30°C. This is an obvious advantage when it comes to ensuring optimum hygienic conditions in the production of industrial foodstuffs, of which frozen products constitute a significant percentage. Because of condensate in the air, the lowest permissible temperature for multihead weigher operation with the pneumatic control system used up to now was -3°C.
A third area which has undergone marked improvement is the electronic software and hardware.
The new weighers feature a faster processor and newly developed software and as a result weighing speed has increased dramatically.
