The company has been certified to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems standard and the BS OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety standard by the British Standards Institution for the design, manufacture, commissioning, hire and sale of winches and deck machinery.

Both are internationally recognised standards that demonstrate ACE Winches has successfully put robust management systems in place to manage HSE matters. This endorsement of the company in fulfilling both legal and regulatory requirements demonstrates ACE Winches is not only maintaining but leading and exceeding customer expectations of corporate responsibility and safety.

OHSAS 18001 is designed to assist companies in identifying occupational health and safety hazards, managing and mitigating risk to create a safer working environment, leading to improved performance whilst employing industry best practice.

ISO 14001certification recognises ACE Winches as an environmentally responsible company, demonstrating the strength of its commitment to reducing its environmental impact.

BSI Assessors singled out for praise the high standard to which ACE Winches works in its Deveron manufacturing facility at its Towie Barclay Works campus in Aberdeenshire. In addition, they recognised the management team’s dedication to embedding an environmental management system within the company.
