Consul Petra Baader, Managing Partner and owner of the Germany based Baader Group, has been awarded the Norwegian Order ''Knight First Class'' for her merits regarding the strengthening of the relationship between Norway and Germany, not only in business but also in cultural efforts.
“Due to our long presence in Norway, my family and the company traditionally maintain strong relationships with people and organisations there,” sais Ms Baader. “I’m very glad to serve the cultural understanding and exchange between our countries.”
The Order was officially handed over by the Norwegian Ambassador, Sven Erik Svedman, in Berlin on 11 September 2008.
Ms Baader, the eldest daughter of Consul Rudolf G. Baader, took over the leadership of the family enterprise in 1995. Since 1996 she has been the Consul of Norway. Within her administrative district she has advanced the Norwegian interests towards the official administration, economy and culture.
Today the Baader Group is one of the world market leaders in food processing systems with production sites in Denmark, Iceland, Holland and the US as well as a worldwide service and sales network in more than 80 country with more than 1000 employees.
