UK-based freezing and chilling equipment specialist Starfrost has a new but familiar face at the helm.

Starfrost's new managing director, Neil Winney

Neil Winney rejoined Starfrost in the new role of managing director towards the end of 2008. His remit is to develop business in new global markets and drive forward product development and innovation.

Mr Winney previously worked for Starfrost for seven years, initially in project management and equipment design. He later managed Starfrost sales in the UK and Europe and then took on a general management role until 2002.

Mr Winney has spent the last six years working for the world market leader in fresh produce labelling and non-destructive testing systems. As global sales and marketing manager he developed new markets in China and Thailand, whilst completing an MBA at the University of East Anglia.

Commenting on his appointment as Starfrost MD, Mr Winney says: “It’s great to return to Starfrost with wider business experience, new ideas and a fresh perspective. I’m relishing the challenge ahead, structuring the business to flourish in today’s tough global markets.”
