Purpose developed for small professional vessel use across the workboat, pilot, patrol craft and fishing vessel sector to 25m LOA, the NT777 model is the first of a new digital Autopilot generation designed and manufactured by Navitron Systems Ltd.

Standard production of the NT777 commenced in January 2007 and provides a digital alternative to the analogue Course Selector style which is synonymous with existing Navitron Autopilot models – such as the well known NT921 MK2 – which will be retained in the standard range to cater for individual preference.

However, new generation means new features, thus the new NT777 is equipped with an integral Watch Alarm, and various installation programmable functions which allow the Autopilot to be customised – during installation – for special turns etc.

A second new generation Navitron Autopilot model scheduled for introduction this month is the Type Approved and 'Wheelmarked' NT888G.

Suitable for larger distant water fishing vessels and SOLAS registered coasters, dredgers, tugs and support units up to 2,000 gross tonnes, the new model NT888G is speed adaptive and features integral Off Course Alarm and Bowthruster control facilities.

NT777 and NT888G are suitable for hull forms from conventional displacement to fast planing vessels and each system type can be installed with up to three control units which operate on a data bus principle connected to a central distribution unit.

Multi waypoint track steering (in conjunction with external ECDIS/Plotter) and heading data outputs (Radar stabilisation etc) are standard features.
