The Government of St Helena has selected the Globavista Portal integrated web based technology as its Vessel Monitoring System, extending the relationship between the respective parties to nine years in total.
The Environment and Natural Resource Directorate will use the Globavista Portal software to monitor all fishing activity in its EEZ.
Globavista is a tracking, telemetry and precise positioning company for both land and sea, but is perhaps best known in the marine sector for its commercial vessel tracking and fisheries vessel monitoring systems.
Globavista’s managing director, Mark Hewish, said, “We are delighted that the Government of St Helena has chosen to continue with our technology. We look forward to supporting them over the coming years.”
