Scantrol Deep Vision has developed a new driver and software for the FishMeter series, to further enhance the user-friendliness of its fish measuring board.
FishMeter Link software offers a universal solution that makes it possible to use the board with any Windows application capable of receiving data input from a keyboard, such as Excel, Word, database applications or data entry forms in web browsers. The software pushes data from the FishMeter directly into the user’s application. A sequence of keystrokes can be configured by mapping the function keys on the FishMeter board to perform specific commands.
For customers looking to use the FishMeter with their own software, a new, unified driver will support the full range of Bluetooth and USB boards. It provides a C♯/.NET class library for users integrating support for the FishMeter in their own software, as well as a COM interface allowing for integration in other application development frameworks – including Visual Basic for Applications as used in in Access or Excel based systems.
