Destiny will be fully commissioned and ready to participate in the 2022 Argentine red shrimp season

Built by the Astilleros Armon shipyard in Spain, at a value of CAD 15 million, Destiny will be one of the newest and most modern fishing vessels in the Argentine shrimp industry.

Destiny is 42.93 meters in length and 11.1 meters in width and has a maximum deadweight tonnage of 885.

In addition to the latest processing technology, the fishing vessel includes Ibercisa electric trawl winches for the outrigger system.

The wild-caught Argentine red shrimp is vibrant in colour and sweet in taste. Wanchese supplies them to customers as frozen-at-sea whole shrimp, shell-on tails, or peeled and deveined and ready to be cooked.

“Destiny and her crew will deliver the highest quality products available in the Argentine fishery and will provide our customers with products meeting the strictest specifications,” Cooke Seafood USA CEO, Ross Butler, said. “We are very excited that the Destiny will be fully commissioned and ready to participate in the 2022 season.”
