The new EM-103 has a much improved design and offers a better yield than previous models, claimed the company. It is also very gentle on the fish fillets.

“EM-103 is equipped with a vacuum system that removes bones and water, leaving a nice and clean fillet,” said the company’s Leif Borcher.

Kaj Olesen, which has been manufacturing machines and equipment for the fish industry – mainly for the salmon processing industry – since 1998, also recently launched a fish turner.

The FC100 can turn fillets in a processing line from tail-end first to head-first and vive-versa, without using manpower. Borcher explained that by introducing an FC100 it’s possible to save an operator between the pinbone remover and a possible skinning machine, where the tail-end first is needed.
