IXTrawl S.A.S., wills be launching its new software for the GEONET system at FISHING 2007.
The new GEONET Software displays all the essential information from the fishing gear, to enable skippers to control and position the trawl from all of the data transmitted by the wireless sensors: the positioning of the trawl (with navigation software display), distance between the trawler and the fishing gear, spreading of the panels, the vertical opening, the rate of capture, evolution of the trawl and its overflows, the immersion and the temperature on the level of the fishing gear.
The software was developed with the skippers contributions, to ensure that the new interface meet with and exceeded their requirements.
iXTrawl's target was to be sure that the new software is as user friendly as possible, and is very easy to manage by the users.
According to company, the new software is very dynamic - the users will see the trawl moving, and will manage all the data from the horizontal and vertical aperture for simple and twin trawlers up to three aperture measurements.
It is possible to display three different screen images (trawl projection, fishing gear data, historic) simultaneously or in full screen, that the user can select individually with ease with a right click of the mouse.
Moreover, symbols and light settings are well adapted to changes for day or night use, buttons control the main functions and the menu system is logical and intuitive.
