AEW Delford Systems has developed a range of New Generations machines and claims that the range can deliver greater accuracy and speed and better product presentation than ever before.
More output, less cost
AEW Delford's Intelligent Portion Loading (IPL) Robot uses vision technology to accurately identify the position and orientation of incoming portions, enabling it to lift, turn and transfer them in varying configurations.
The IPL can load fresh fish portions into trays or thermoformers and added value products, such as breaded portions, into final retail packs including boxes. Whole, fresh fish can also be handled in singles or multiples. Other applications include automatically loading of the infeed belt of a freezer to optimise the available space, thus saving labour and energy costs.
For high volume applications, the single vision and control system can handle up to six robots, each of which can perform various tasks and certain batching and grading options and, due to 99 product programme memories, product changeovers can be made quickly and simply.
Weighing, pricing and labelling
The latest generation of weigh price labellers from AEW Delford includes the WPL 8060 which is designed to provide maximum operational flexibility and reliability with high accuracy, high resolution (12dots/mm) printing. WPL 8060 can be connected into factory network systems to provide vital feedback and production information as well as remote label and programme editing.
WPL 8500 heavy product weigher
The new AEW Delford WPL 8500 is designed to weigh and label items such as bulk or catering packs up to 600mm long and 600mm wide with a weight of up to 27.5kg. It can also be used to apply warehouse tracking labels to boxes and crates or customer point of sale information to outer packaging. The WPL 8500 can handle up to 35 items a minute and it can be supplied with or without infeed and outfeed conveyors – both of which can be easily removed for cleaning.
Thanks to its high definition thermal printing head, the WPL 8500 can be used to print a variety of information on the label. The WPL 8500 can also print graphics on the label including monochrome bitmaps, lines and boxes.
Fast, accurate checkweighing
The latest version of AEW Delford's advanced, high speed G2200 Checkweigher ensures conformance to stringent weights and measures legislation by accurately checking the weight of virtually any product. Thanks to its robust construction, the G2200 can operate easily, quickly and reliably in the harshest of environments – even those in excess of IP66 – to very high levels of accuracy.
This advanced checkweigher offers excellent operational flexibility at throughputs exceeding 180 packs/min. It features modular software for ease of operation and programmability and up to 200 pre-programmed memories can be accessed via the keyboard.
A sensitive, shockproof weigh cell and independently driven weigh table ensure consistent weighing to 1g (according to the size of the product).
